Join this free seed starting workshop for up to 12 participants on a first come first serve basis. There will be a round table discussion about general food security, the history of gardening in the area/traditional knowledge around gardens, grocery prices, gardening. You will discuss container gardening, community gardening, and best places and practices to transplant the seedlings when they are ready. Then you will plant seeds and take home a tray of planted seeds with a lid and information about how to grow the future plants. There will be a door prize draw for two participants to take home a mini indoor greenhouse kit with grow light. Special guests include KFN residents that garden to come and share about their experiences and network to provide support in the future.
