March is
Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month
March 2026
Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month (CALM), celebrated annually in March, is dedicated to learning about and celebrating Canada’s incredible agriculture and food story. In the NWT, we are celebrating CALM 2026 with a repeat of last year's successful art contest for NWT students and teachers. This year we are also opening it to the public. All submissions will be featured in a virtual online gallery. Prizes for participation and support will be handed out.

We will also be partnering with Agriculture in the Classroom Canada to support Mission Explorium - an online national classroom competition on sustainable agriculture. https://missionexplorium.ca/.
