The Agrifood Value Chain: Strategic Alliances for Improving Profitability and Sector Impact
The agrifood value chain is a partnership between producers, processors, and retailers created to improve quality, increase efficiencies or develop and market differentiated products. Value chains allow members to be more competitive by seeking market opportunities and linking production and processing requirements to meet consumer demand. The TAA represents all participants in the agrifood value chain.

DECOLONIZING NWT AGRICULTURE
The Territorial Agrifood Association is committed to working to create equitable, sustainable and economically viable food systems. To do so we must recognize the legacy of colonialism in agriculture in the NWT, engage Indigenous perspectives and narratives, and work to support Indigenous communities seeking Indigenous food sovereignty and self-determination as we collaborate to build our sector.
In 2022, we commissioned a report on decolonizing agriculture and food production in the NWT.
